The Dentist...
Like I said in the previous post, I HATE THE DENTIST. Now, I have an appointment this Thursday. Seems something is going on with a tooth, lots of pain when I bite down. Hope she is willing to give me lots of gas, drugs, or whatever (hammer ??) it takes to knock me out. Glad Hey Baby is going with me. Hope I don't pass out!

The Dentist
I hate going to the dentist, which is why I don't go(I have no trouble with my teeth and I like it like that).I will go for the occasional cleaning :( On the other hand, G doesn't seem to mind at all. He has been twice in the last few weeks to have teeth pulled, of his own choosing. You see, his baby teeth will not come out. It is like they are bolted in. They refuse to let go. So, this creates pain because his permanent teeth are jockeying for that same space. He is so brave, he goes in jumps in the chair and tells our dentist, numb me up! She says he is her best kid patient ever. No tears, screaming, or kicking. I'm so proud of him! He is such a trooper. 3 down and very possibly 3-4 more to go!

First Snow
Our first "snow" was December 12, 2008. As you can tell by these pics it wasn't much but the drive to work that morning was really pretty. The weather man is saying we will be getting more this Tuesday. I hope he is right :) but after talking to my favorite sister in law and having her tell me about the snow and ice they have I really feel guilty wishing for snow.

Christmas Cookies
I know it's a little late to be talking about Christmas but
I just have to post this. Now that I have figured out how to post my pics again since I can no longer do it from where I was posting them from. That's another story!!! It was Christmas Eve at our house, and to say the least it was a bit crazy. I was in the kitchen trying to get a head start on Christmas Day when number one son came in. He sat down at the table and said, Mom, do you remember when I was little and we made cookies every Christmas Eve together? In my scurry I replied, Yes I do. I didn't stop what I was doing, and then he said, Can we do that tonight?, just like we did when I was little. Number one son will be 23 years old this summer. At that point nothing else seemed important, we made cookies. Looking at the picture I can still smell the warm chocolate melting. It was a great Christmas Eve, and Christmas morning was so special because as I looked at both my boys there was warmth in my heart that they will remember their childhood when they grow up, and that they had fun making a mess in the kitchen. So much so that they might even want to do it when they are 23!
